What is a “Gold Cob Pistole”?
I have a really old looking coin that would appear to be spanish and has a crest like logo that looks like a cross on the front and english (Gold Cob Pistole) and spanish (Pistole Bout Barre Dor) written on the back. It is not round, but circle shape. I was wondering if anyone knows what this is, if it is real, and if it is worth anything.

I have my doubts that it is a Real Coin. The side with the cross is a fairly standard Spanish colonial design from the 1600s and early 1700s. The inscription on the other side is in English and French, as opposed to the Spanish king’s coat of arms, denomination and mint mark that should be on a real coin (the denomination on a real Spanish colonial Gold Coin would be in Escudos). You would need to have a coin dealer look at it to see if it is actually gold.
