I have a 1731 Republique Francaise coin
It shows like a statute of liberty on the front
the back says (Indo Chine Francaise Piastre De Commerce) Titre 0.900. Poids 27 Gr.
Is there a site i can check on or someone that collects that knows its worth?
It has to be dated after 1875 so recheck the date. It is a Piastre from French Indo China which is Vietnam today. They were struck up to 1922 so your coin could be 1921. I would need to know the correct date to give you a value. but in general are worth $15 and up in grades fine and up. The math teacher should stick to math and leave numismatics to numismatists.
