Pfennig Copper

Pfennig Copper
Total value of pfennig coins?

I have a few coins that I would like to know the value of, they are:
1937 copper 1 pfennig “A” with swastika
1939 copper 2 pfennig “A” with swastika
1938 bronze 5 pfennig “E” with swastika
1938 bronze 10 pfennig “F” with swastika
1942 zinc 1 pfennig “J” with swastika
1940 zinc 5 pfennig “A” with swastika
1940 zinc 10 pfennig “A” with swastika
1935 aluminum 50 pfennig “A” without swastika

They all say “Reichpfennig” on one side and “Deutrches Reich” on the other
I would like to know the individual prices and a set price. I might sell them but I’m not sure.

You haven’t given the most important piece of information, the condition of the coins.

The highest ’sold’ prices on eBay are for coins that appear to be in Mint State, or close, condition, and certain ones of what you have have sold for as high as $15. Also, the sellers have taken excellent quality photographs. A combination of low quality coin and poor quality photo results in coins that sold for a dollar or didn’t sell at all. Most were selling in the $2-$5 range.

You’ll do better selling them individually than as a group, but it’s more work, and time is money. Is the extra time worth a few dollars more?

Unless what you have are all prime-condition coins, you’d do OK selling the group for $20 – $30. If all of yours happen to be ‘like new, hardly circulated at all’, you might be able to get $80- $100 for the group.

I’d do it soon, while interest in these is hot, which it seems to be right now. Remember the real estate bubble? There are bubbles in everything, even coin collecting. What’s hot today might not be a year from now. These coins aren’t especially scarce, they’re pretty easy to find, in spite of certain dealers’ hype that ‘they’re drying up’.
