Australia Tuvalu
Did Tuvalu ever follow through on its threat to sue the US and Australia for sea level rise due to AGW?

I have found little info on the suggested lawsuit, and none as to whether or not it actually happened, which makes me think it did not. Does anyone have any information for me?

They did not have the financial resources for that. Just the cost to be part of the United Nations is more than .5% of their GNP. Tuvalu only joined the UN to plead it’s case. The country was spending it’s windfall it received when the IANA assigned the .TV domain name to the country. They sold the management rights for $20 Million or so and started building infrastructure and trying to expand the economy. It was in that period, in 2002, when the Prime Minister threatened to sue. But the 10,000 people became nervous about the spending and rapid changes and changed governments. This is really a poor country; the per-capita GNP is less than $3000, there are only 10,000 people and the land mass is only 10 square miles.
